volunteering

From here you are able to find out all about volunteering

Are you a kind, compassionate person who loves Dachshunds and would like to make a difference to a dog’s life? Here at Suloti Dachshund Support kindness is really important to us. Every person and Dachshund who has contact with the charity is treated with respect and kindness.

We are always looking for new members to join our highly motivated team who provide invaluable support to Dachshunds and their owners throughout the UK. Volunteering with a dog rescue charity can be very emotional and require patience and understanding but so rewarding when you see the difference you have made to a dog’s life!

Volunteers are really important to us and we have several roles available from fostering which requires a lot of dedicated time from the volunteer, to other roles requiring just a short amount of time as and when a situation crops up in which they can help. We are understanding towards people’s different situations and like to think that there is a role for anyone who is willing to help!

We ask that volunteers:

  • Are 21 or over.
  • Have current or previous Dachshund owning experience.
  • Most importantly, have a kind, caring and understanding nature towards people and dogs!
  • Are able to be compassionate and calm during emotional situations.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to send emails and complete online forms.

You aren’t paid for your time as a volunteer but any expenses will be reimbursed.

Training and support is given to all our volunteers to enable them to carry out their roles in the best possible way.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and would like to help some Dachshunds In need please get in touch through the contact page we would love to hear from you!
