Sometimes Dachshund owners are unable to provide care for their Dachshund for a short period of time. We may be able to help in situations such as time in hospital and owner illness which results in the owner being unable to care for their Dachshund.

Suloti Dachshund Support is very lucky to have a team of volunteer foster carers, many experienced Dachshund owners who are thoroughly vetted and will provide care for the Dachshund for a mutually agreed period of time. Updates and photos can be provided to the owner. Food, bedding and any medication must be provided by the owner for the duration of the care. Ownership of the dog and responsibility for medical care including any costs during the care remain the responsibility of the owner.

Occasionally a dog that has been surrendered to us for rehoming will need to go into foster care whilst we are looking for a new home, although we try to keep dogs in their existing home until we have found a new home where possible.
